Al Shifa Group was founded with a noble mission, beginning with the establishment of a super-specialty hospital in 1989. The hospital started with 75 beds and has grown into a 450-bed multi-specialty NABH-accredited facility, comprising 37 departments that cater to over 1,200 patients daily. KIMS Al Shifa Super Specialty Hospital, located in Perinthalmanna, Kerala, is a landmark healthcare facility in the state, offering top-of-the-line healthcare services. The hospital also conducts DNB programs in six disciplines and an Internal Medicine Training Program (equivalent to MRCP) approved by JRCPTB, UK.
The group entered the second stage of its mission to provide empowering and employable education to underserved regions of Malabar with the establishment of Shifa Medicare Trust, a Muslim minority trust, in 2000. The trust launched educational institutions including Al Shifa College of Pharmacy (NIRF Ranked) and Al Shifa College of Nursing in 2002, Al Shifa College of Paramedical Sciences in 2004, and Al Shifa College of Arts and Science in 2020. These institutions have grown in stature and reputation, producing thousands of skilled and employable professionals for the global healthcare industry and reshaping the educational landscape of the state.
Currently, over 2,000 students are enrolled in the 24 programs offered across the campuses. The management is deeply committed to uplifting underprivileged communities through initiatives such as financial assistance for house construction, medical treatment aid, educational scholarships, and more.
